In a bizarre and completely incredible surprise move, off-model cartoon genius John K (the creator of Ren & Stimpy) stepped in to guest-animate this week’s couch gag on “The Simpsons.” Now, I’ve been a Simpsons fan for literally my entire life. Seriously, the show and I are the same age. And while recent seasons sometimes make it hard to justify that love, this little vignette shows that there are still enough weird creative juices flowing in the writers’ room that something like this could get made.
Props to the greatest television show ever. That’s right, I said it.
